Bio: Nancie Carmichael worked with her husband Bill for many years in writing and publishing. Nancie is a former co-publisher and editor for Virtue Magazine where for several years she wrote articles and columns for the magazine. She has written for many magazines including Virtue, Today’s Christian Woman, Christian Parenting Today, Woman’s Touch as well as on-line magazines.
Nancie has written four books with her husband, Bill, and six books on her own, including, Selah; Time to Stop, Think and Step into Your Future. She has also contributed to other books and authored many magazine articles in various publications. Her latest book, Surviving One Bad Year has just been released.
In May of ’99, she was given an Honorary Doctorate from Western Baptist College (the same day her son Andy graduated). In 2002 she was recognized by an award by the Evangelical Press Association’s higher goals in Christian journalism.
Nancie and Bill now own a book publishing company, Deep River Books and make their home in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. They are parents to five married children and grandparents to nine.
Nancie speaks at a variety of conferences and retreats throughout the United States and Canada and is currently enrolled in a Master’s of Spiritual Formation program at George Fox Evangelical Seminary.
