BIO:
Karen Whiting has a heart to grow tomorrow’s wholesome families today. She lets creativity flow into her writing to encourage women, families, and children. Using humorous anecdotes, Karen shares how daily problems, vices, and catastrophes are invitations to know Jesus more intimately. Her book, The Gift of Bread: Recipes for the Heart and the Table reflects her passion for bread, sharing meals, and growing up helping at her grandparent’s restaurant. Her newest book focuses on her favorite topic of families: 52 Weekly Devotions for Families Called to Serve. She is an international speaker, former television host of Puppets on Parade, certified writing and marketing coach, and author of twenty-six books for women, children, and families. She’s written more than 800 articles for more than sixty periodicals and is the marketing columnist for The Christian Communicator, time management columnist for Leading Hearts, and also writes for godsgreenery.net and crosswalk.com. She loves to let her imagination splash over the pages of what she writes. Her craft and puppetry books include 3D art including bread centerpieces of muffin bouquets, edible gumdrop flowers, and more. She enjoys adventure and rode a camel in the Canary Islands; white water rafted in Australia; rode horseback in Jamaica’s ocean; and enjoyed scuba diving off the coast of Bermuda.
