Dianne E. Butts has written for magazines for twenty years with over 275 articles in more than fifty publications including Focus on the Family magazine, Enrichment Journal, On Mission, the Salvation Army’s Wary Cry, and Encounter for teens, and fiction in periodicals including Clubhouse. Her articles have appeared in Great Britain, Bulgaria, Poland, Canada, and Korea. She has contributed to seventeen books including Chicken Soup for the Soul: 101 Best Stories of Faith, Zondervan’s New Woman’s Devotional Bible, and Linda Evans Shepherd’s books Heart-Stirring Stories of Romance and Encouraging Hands, Encouraging Hearts.

Dianne released her second book, Deliver Me: Hope, Help, & Healing through True Stories of Unplanned Pregnancy in April, 2011. She wrote her first book, Dear America: A Letter of Comfort and Hope to a Grieving Nation, after the attacks on America on September 11, 2001.

Dianne speaks to writers groups, teaches at Christian writers conferences, and offers a free monthly e-zine for writers.

Dianne is also an aspiring screenwriter. Her short film script was a finalist the 168 Project’s “Write of Passage” screenwriting competition in 2010 where writers write a script based on an assigned Scripture verse in one week. She has also contracted to write a feature film based on a nonfiction book.
