Bio:

First woman staff writer for Bob Hope (1980s and ‘90s, television specials, personal appearances, and military shows). She is also the author of over eighty books of humor and inspiration. Her newest, releasing March 2021, is Dear Bob…  Bob Hope’s Wartime Correspondence with the GIs of WW2. Martha has received an Emmy nomination (1987-1988 Emmy Awards), Dove Award nomination (1999), and a WGA Award nomination (1994). She wrote humor and song parodies for Mark Lowry and shares a story credit on an upcoming Chonda Pierce film. Martha is a prolific playwright with a repertoire of ten musicals playing in five states, which includes Josiah for President, based on her novel of the same name. She received a 2017 Golden Scroll Merit Award for Fiction for her novel, The Home Game, and was recently honored with a 50-year medal from the Joslin Diabetes Center. Martha and her husband got to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in the year of the corona virus with a drive-by car parade of family and friends. Martha’s life motto is: “Life’s tough, God’s good, and laughter is calorie-free.”
