Tawnya Shaffer
BIO:
Tawnya Shaffer has a passion to share the love of Jesus, and how He has worked in her life in written and spoken form. She has self-published two books; “Words from Birds” a collection of devotions that compare attributes of the eagle and other birds with our Christian walk and “Radical Restoration- Finding Your Identity in Christ”, a non-fiction curriculum that she co-wrote with Dr. Dawn Adkins, and challenges readers to completely surrender to the power of Christ. Tawnya has also won award awards for articles and devotions including a First for Devotions and a Third for Articles at the 2022 BRMCWC. Tawnya is ready to take her writing to the next level and is working on her next non-fiction book.
Tawnya has been a public speaker for more than 25 years. She has spoken to groups of twenty to two thousand and shared messages revolving around God’s power in her physical and spiritual challenges. Tawnya is comfortable talking in front of groups of children, teenagers and adults. She is actively working on expanding opportunities in her writing and speaking with the sole goal of enlarging the kingdom of God.
Tawnya has been married to her husband Dennis for nearly 35 years. They have three grown children; Zach, Justin and Jordyn who are married to their soul mates, Andrea, Rachelle and Logan. Tawnya is also Nana to Lane, Leena and Landry and has a fourth grandbaby arriving in December of 2022. Besides being a partner in children and youth ministry with her husband for over twenty-five years, Tawnya has been a labor and delivery nurse for over twenty-nine years. Tawnya enjoys horseback riding, reading, gardening, watersports, and spending time with
her family whenever possible
