Jacinta S-Fontenelle
BIO:
Jacinta Serieux-Fontenelle, author and speaker, was born in the beautiful Caribbean Island of St Lucia.
She seeks to inspire and empower others by sharing the wisdom learned from her spiritual walk, as a professional nurse (over 40 years), a homeschool parent (18 years) an immigrant and mother of three adult children. With ‘God in the driver’s seat’, as she often says, her biggest challenge is to continually trust Him. Jeremiah 29:11 ‘”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,”’ is one of her guiding verses.
She believes that God uses all her experiences, as a nurse, one of thirteen children, homeschool mom, enthusiastic gardener, wife, immigrant, toastmaster and more to build her confidence and enthusiasm for writing and speaking positive and encouraging messages into the life of others. In so doing she hopes to help others seek and discover God’s plan for their life.
Her first book, Contemporary Psalms, was published in the fall of 2019. She is a contributing author to four other books and wrote for Nursing2014 magazine and the Upper Room Devotional. She is presently working on her second book, ‘Born Wealthy; Finding Blessings Beyond Money,’ which is scheduled to be published this fall.
Jacinta is the Vice President of Education (VPE) of the Greater Newark Area Toastmaster (GNAT) club. Both her speaking and leadership roles have helped her grow in both confidence and skill. She and her husband, Philip have three adult children and presently live in Newark, Delaware.
