BIO:

I have over 20 years’ experience in education, training and consulting as an academic and as a government program manager. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a doctor of education, I taught masters’ degree courses in public administration at the University of Connecticut, graduate and undergraduate courses in interpersonal and organizational communications at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, and doctoral courses in adult education and human resource development at North Dakota State University.  During this time, I wrote two books, over 20 refereed journal articles, conducted scholarly research, and presented at over 25 research and practice reports at academic and professional conferences nationally and internationally. Additionally, I have conducted and managed management and executive leadership programs in federal government; I also conducted and presented policy research and oversaw implementation at state, local, and national levels. I also have been an external and an internal change agent and consultant in the areas of program analysis and management, organizational culture, team building, interpersonal and organizational communications, and quality control. Besides a doctorate, my degrees include a masters of public administration, a master of arts in curriculum and instruction, a master of arts in theological studies, and a bachelor’s in English and journalism.
