Bio:

Sandra Julian Barker began her freelance writing career over 30 years ago, she has written hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles in such publications as Writer’s Digest, Parents, On Course, Brio, and Wild Outdoor World.  She has written award-winning short stories, as well as a piece in the best-selling book, Chicken Soup for the Mother’s Soul. She and several other women recently began a ministry group called Women Victorious, with the goal of encouraging women that their lives have purpose and that they can rely on the grace of God to get them through tough battles of life.

She has authored more than a dozen books, which are available on Amazon and include fiction, inspirational non-fiction and children’s books.  One of her latest books, Ordinary Women – Extraordinary God, volume two, features true stories of sixteen women who overcame adversity through the power of the Lord, including her own story of God’s healing grace after deadly tragedy struck her own family.

Sandra has been active in her church since she was a teenager, serving as pianist, choir member, soloist, Sunday school teacher and Women’s Ministry Director for decades.  She is passionate about the volunteer work she does at the local regional jail, sharing God’s message of love with female inmates and encouraging them that God created each of them for a good purpose.  She has been sharing messages of good cheer and inspiration on her blog since 2008 and uses her own photography and travel experiences to point to God’s love in our everyday lives.

Sandra is mother of three married children and grandmother to six beloved grandchildren. She enjoys traveling with her husband and visiting with family and friends.
