Kaitrin E. Valencia is a licensed Illinois attorney who worked in Chicago’s juvenile court for 14 years where she was a deputy chief and faith based coordinator. She also served as the Executive Director of the Chicago Dream Center, a Christian non-profit with 15 ministries focusing on reaching, rescuing, and restoring our society’s most marginalized individuals. She was an adjunct professor at City Colleges of Chicago and has experience serving on multiple non-profit Boards. Currently, she’s the President and CEO of a non-profit (Skyway Railroad) in Memphis, Tennessee. Writing and teaching have always been Kaitrin’s passion. She’s written curriculums, taught classes in recovery programs, and also speaks at retreats, conferences, bible studies, and panels/workshops. She’s received numerous awards, published articles, authors a regular blog, and is self-publishing two non-fiction books in 2018, one which documents encounters from her annual outreach to those trafficked at the Super Bowl.
