BIO:

Kelly is an experienced journalist, ministry leader, speaker, and author. She has written for newspapers since the 1990s. She shares her life experiences by the article, having been published in magazines such as Guideposts, Focus on the Family, War Cry, Just Between Us, Country, Christian Communicator, various regional periodicals, and more. Her articles have been on websites such as CBN.com, Charismamag.com, and
ThrivingFamily.com. As God teaches her lessons, she writes about them so we can all learn together. She has contributed to twelve compilation books including two Chicken Soup for the Soul editions, Guideposts, two Cecil Murphey books, and Love is a Verb Devotional by Gary Chapman.

Kelly grew up in a small northeastern Ohio town. Within a five-year period she moved through the statistics of pregnant teen bride, abused spouse, and single parent. Although she learned about Jesus as a child in Sunday school, she met Him personally as a broke and broken single mother of two sweet, but rowdy preschoolers.

Her compelling story was dramatized on UNSHACKLED!, a radio program from Chicago, IL. God’s story in her life was also featured on the Focus on the Family broadcast. She has enjoyed speaking to women’s groups, teenagers, and teachers since 1987, and currently speaks throughout the southeastern USA, mainly sharing her testimony.

Kelly knows that no one benefits when we wear masks. “Everyone has skeletons in their closets; but my closets have no doors on them!”

She belongs to Word Weavers International writers’ critique group, is a C.L.A.S.S. graduate, and a member of WomenSpeakers.com.

Kelly resides with her husband, Jerry in sunny Florida. Together they have five adult children, a son-in- law, and two granddaughters—all living across the land and in England.
