Gigi Murfitt

Gigi Devine Murfitt writes and speaks about many different topics. Raised in a single parent home with nine siblings, her life has been dotted with stories of courage and hope.

Although she was raised in a church going family, Gigi’s love for Jesus grew deeper after the birth of her son Gabriel.  The life stories she shares are inspirational and motivating.

Writing down the events of her life has been her passion while keeping a journal for over 35 years.  She encourages her audience to record their lives in a journal.

She is currently writing a book titled Stones of Remembrance.  It is the story of Gigi’s triumph through some very difficult times.  The book also tells the story of raising Gabriel, Gigi’s youngest son, who was born with severe congenital birth defects affecting his arms and legs.  With his three-inch arms, he reached into heaven and found hope.  He handed that hope to his family and their life has never been the same.

A lover of God’s Word, Gigi has facilitated Bible study for many years.  She has been a speaker at retreats, community meetings and teas.  She enjoys mentoring women in their walk of faith.  Her love for people is evident in her caring nature and smile.

Her newest book released April 2012. She wrote My Message is C.L.E.A.R. – Hope and Strength in the Face of Life’s Greatest Adversities with her son, Gabe. This book is Gabe’s story of overcoming the obstacles he faces while touching lives with his three-inch arms. It is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, most major bookstores and also on this website as well as on our nonprofit’s website at www.GabesHOPE.org.  The profits from this book are poured back into Gabriel’s Foundation of HOPE to help us service the many families living with disability who need our help. It is also available in e-book and audio form.

Gigi’s pocket sized devotional book titled Caregivers Devotions to Go is NOW available for sale.  This book contains 30 inspirational stories from the perspective of a caregiver.  It will be a must read book for anyone who wears a caregiver hat.  Parents, grandparents, physicians, nurses, day care workers, teachers and those in other caregiver roles will be inspired by this book.   The book is available as an EBOOK on Amazon.com or the printed copy is also available here in Gigi’s store on this website.

Gigi completed a three year Seattle Ministry Institute program.  Her studies included personal disciplines, life management, leadership development, communication and pastoral care.  The final project for this program was to establish a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization named Gabriel’s Foundation of HOPE.  This organization encourages individuals with disabilities and their families by helping them overcome and persevere.  The website for Gabriel’s Foundation of HOPE is www.GabesHope.org

As former President and current Treasurer of the Northwest Christian Writer’s Association, Gigi enjoys meeting and encouraging fellow writers in this group and also in the various writing classes she has completed.  As a member of the Northwest Christian Speaker’s Connection she also encourages other speakers.  She is currently member of The Christian Writer’s Guild.
