Carolyn I. Jones

BIO:

Carolyn is the daughter of Inez Heller Jones, author of They Call Me Blessed! An Empty Nester’s Inspirational, True Story of Love, Prayer, Faith and Endurance. In 2024, Carolyn had the joy of republishing her mother’s originally self-published work through Christian Faith Publishing so that it is now available in print, e-book and audio book formats. Also as of March 2026 –  The Prestigious International Hope Book Awards has awarded it the: Best Memoir of Hope and Resilience Book Award Winner, and Finalist for Author of the Year 2026!

Why would a daughter go to such lengths to have her mother’s memoirs republished? Because of the powerful, biblical truths her mom actually lived out during one of the most difficult seasons of her life. In They Call Me Blessed! Inez is introduced to readers as wife, empty-nester, single mom and in-home caregiver.  Carolyn had the privilege of living through much of this season with her mother as together, in “The Valley of the Shadow of Death,”  they overcame seemingly insurmountable odds through total dependence on Christ, His Word and the power of prayer.

Carolyn holds a master’s degree in French and International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a bachelor’s degree in French with a vocal music minor from Oral Roberts University. She studied in Paris France (3 years), worked as a post graduate Fellow with Africare in Niger, West Africa (1 year), served as Associate Director of Program Growth and Development with OIC International in Philadelphia (5 years), started and managed her own French tutoring business (5 years), and served as a substitute teacher in nine Central Ohio school districts (8 years). Since 2002 she has provided administrative oversight as the Executive Director of Lighthouse Counseling Services. She is currently also an Employee Owner of Roush Honda as a Business Development Center representative where she assists customers in both English and French.

When not at work, Carolyn thoroughly enjoys singing, reading God’s Word and talking with Him daily while biking, walking or hiking.
