As an award-winning author, speaker, and businesswoman, Amanda L. Scarborough seeks to reflect the heart of Jesus, not only through her words and stories, but through the way she walks out her faith in everyday life. Her battle with perinatal and postpartum depression, the story behind her book A Beautiful War, became the turning point where God met her in the darkness, restored her hope, and drew her into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him.

Adopted at three days old and raised on a farm in southwest Louisiana, Amanda learned early the beauty of faith, family, and resilience. In 2000, she married her husband, Jeff, becoming an instant mom to his two daughters, and together they welcomed two sons of their own in the years that followed.

Today, Amanda cherishes life on their forty-acre homestead. When she’s not writing or speaking, you’ll find her working alongside her family in their businesses, soaking in the outdoors, or curled up with a good book, most likely with a French bulldog or two nearby and the sounds of Christmas music filling the background, no matter the season.
