BIO:
June Chapko, a transplanted Texan since 1958, resides in San Antonio with her husband, Nick, and Shih Tzu dogs, Chai and Charlotte. She is a mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoys reading, quilting, and finding teacup treasures for her burgeoning collection.
She is a member of AWSA (Advanced Writers and Speakers Association), American Christian Fiction Writers and Christian Writers for Life.
June’s Legacy Series begins with, The Estate Sale, (2018), and Legacy’s Path, (2019), and Legacy’s Truth (2022). Her Discovery Series includes The Other Place, (2023), Another Place, (2024), with the final book in the series, A Place of My Own, due in 2025.
June also co-authored two health and wellness Bible studies with Joyce Ainsworth, Count it all Joy: A study in James, and Strength for the Journey.
During the pandemic in 2020, June was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. As she underwent treatment, she wrote Cancer Courage Christ: A Devotional for Breast Cancer Survivors, which was published in 2021. In 2024, June began her second battle with breast cancer when it metastasized to her neck, liver, and sacrum. She is currently undergoing treatment with a very optimistic prognosis.
June is active in the women’s ministry at her church. She teaches a women’s Sunday school class, and a Wednesday Bible study. She is an avid journaler and teaches workshops on how to get started. She loves to speak to women’s groups on a variety of topics.
