Debra Moerke is a speaker for Christian women’s retreats, conferences, and events and the author of Murder, Motherhood, and Miraculous Grace, a true story of tragedy, struggle, hope, grace, and forgiveness. She is a non-fiction Christian author working on two more non-fiction books and is also working on publishing numerous children’s books.
She has been a Christian speaker for over 30 years, a Bible study leader for over 15 years, a jail officer, a rescue mission chaplain, and a lay jail chaplain. She was the first Executive Director of The Caring Center, a pregnancy resource center in Casper, Wyoming. She and her husband fostered over 140 children in eighteen years, and she is now the founder and president of The McKenzie Home project, a traditional home for single mothers and their children.
Debra’s passion is to serve Jesus by serving others. She continues to study God’s Word and holds a Christian Ministries certificate from Gateway Seminary. Her favorite topics to speak about are grace, forgiveness, leadership, and trusting God. These are not just subjects of interest but areas where she brings a wealth of knowledge and personal experience, inspiring and engaging her audience.
Debra is the mother of six children, an adoptive parent, and a grandparent of nine children, one of whom lives with Jesus. Her favorite thing to do with her daughter is going to musical theatre, and her favorite thing to do with her sons is skydiving!
