BIO:
Dianne Neal Matthews attended her first writers’ conference in 1999 after fantasizing
about being an author since first grade. Since then she has written, co-written, or
contributed to thirty-five books. Her daily devotional books include The One Year On
This Day (which won her the 2006 Writer of the Year Award at the Write-to-Publish
Conference), The One Year Women of the Bible (Portuguese version available),
Drawing Closer to God: 365 Daily Meditations on Questions from Scripture, and
Designed for Devotion: A 365-Day Journey from Genesis to Revelation (Selah Award
winner).
Dianne has also published hundreds of articles, guest blog posts, newspaper features,
stories for compilation books, Bible studies, and one poem. Her work has appeared in
Focus on the Family, Guideposts, The Quiet Hour, LIVE, The Christian Communicator,
and on several websites and online periodicals including More to Life, Christianity
Today, and CBN.com. Since 2013, her favorite writing project each year has been
sharing her faith journey as a writer for Mornings with Jesus, a daily devotional book
published annually by Guideposts.
Dianne is a CLASS graduate and a member of Advanced Writers & Speakers
Association and Christian Authors Network. Dianne and her husband, Richard, have
been married since 1974. After living in several states due to job changes, they finally
made it back to west Tennessee. When she’s not writing, Dianne enjoys volunteering at
her church, trying new recipes and crafts, reading, soaking up nature, and FaceTiming
with her three children and five grandchildren who all live too far away. She loves to
connect with readers through her Facebook author page or website
(DianneNealMatthews.com).
