Her best-selling book \u2018Men are Like Waffles and Women are like Spaghetti\u2019 sold over 350,000 copies. Her work has consistently promoted positive values and empowered individuals to live their best lives. Not only that, but she has been a wonderful friend and encourager to her AWSA Sisters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Jennifer Kennedy Dean Award went to Edie Melson. She is a prolific author, a mentor to countless writers, a social media guru, and an advocate for military families. Her books not only offer soul care to others but many of her books offer practical guidance on writing and social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Karen Whiting was named AWSA Member of the Year. She has penned over 30 books and has a heart for family and faith, and she crafts stories and activities that bring people closer together. But she wasn\u2019t always a writer, she began her journey solving math problems. Despite her busy life, this AWSA helps her AWSA sisters find more ministry connections.
