BIO:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nBorn in the jungles of Nigeria, West Africa, as the daughter of missionaries, Harriet spent her childhood running barefoot under the tropical sun and playing in the refreshing African rain. This carefree tropical childhood ended when civil war broke out in Nigeria and her family returned to America. They settled in the beautiful mountains of Bluefield, West Virginia where Harriet attended junior high and high school. She is a child of two countries. To this day, both places live in her heart and come out in her writings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since her first published article in 2010, she now has ten books (with two more under contract) that she has either authored or co-authored, and several hundred published articles in both Christian and secular magazines, short stories, and devotions. Harriet\u2019s writings are as diverse as her life has been. Though she writes primarily nonfiction pieces, she has penned one novel and has some children\u2019s stories in her head that she hopes to someday have in print. She has won several writing awards including Selah, Cascade, and Ames awards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Harriet holds a BS in nursing from West Virginia University but has discovered her passion for writing. She and John, her husband of over forty years, now live in Kentucky. They have four grown children and five grandchildren.
