BIO:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nZoe M. Hicks received her A.B., J.D., and LL.M.(Master of Laws in Taxation) degrees from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She practiced tax and estate planning law for over thirty years, speaking and writing on tax and estate planning topics to lay and professional groups, before moving into inspirational speaking and writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zoe\u2019s goal is to help people to achieve their dreams and live abundantly. Zoe is the author of five inspirational books: Dream Catcher, The Power of Faith; Abundant Living; Dancing in the Rain, Finding Strength to Survive and Grace to Thrive in the Storms of Life; The Money River – Navigating with a Compass of Faith; and Oh, the Power, Stories of Prayers that changed Nations and People. <\/em> She has written numerous articles which have been published in Christian magazines such as Prayer Connect, The Upper Room, and Spirit Led Woman<\/em>. She is a member of the Atlanta Writers Club and the Georgia Speakers Association. She serves as a Board member of several charitable organizations and has chaired capital campaigns for several of them. She also co-chaired a task force to build a school in the nation of Liberia, on the west coast of Africa. She is an active member of her church, teaches adult Sunday School classes and facilitates Bible studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\nZoe has led women\u2019s retreats, spoken to groups of seniors on leaving a legacy of faith and fortune, sponsored seminars for women on finding life\u2019s passion and purpose, and taught from her book, Dream Catcher, the Power of Faith<\/em> to groups of all ages on developing faith that moves mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\nZoe was the 2008 recipient of The Greater Good Award, given to a professional in the State of Georgia who has done the most to promote charitable giving in the State and the 2011 recipient of The Emory University Unsung Heroine Award, given to an alumna who has worked to make a better world. She was the 2012 Commencement speaker for Oxford College of Emory University and the winner of the essay contest sponsored by Emory Magazine in 2011 to commemorate the 175th anniversary of Emory University\u2019s founding. In 2017 she received the Champions for Change award from the DeKalb County Women\u2019s Resource Center and in 2019 she received the Chandler award from Oxford College of Emory University, the highest award given by the school, for service and commitment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms. Hicks and her husband, Charles, established a Foundation, Encouragement Unlimited, Inc., in 2006 to empower, equip, and encourage marginalized women to overcome and succeed. Zoe enjoys speaking to lay and professional groups of all ages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
