GA<\/span><\/span>YLE ROPER is the award winning author of more than forty books. She has been a Christy finalist three times for her novels Spring Rain, Summer Shadows<\/em> and Winter Winds<\/em>. Her novel Autumn Dreams<\/em> won the 2004 Romance Writers of America\u2019s RITA Award for Best Inspirational Romance of the year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She has won the Holt Medallion three times for TheDecision, Caught in a Bind<\/em>, and Autumn Dreams<\/em>. Summer Shadows<\/em> won the Inspirational Readers Choice Book of the Year (tied with Brandilyn Collins), The Decision<\/em> won the Reviewers Choice Award, and Romantic Times Book Report gave Gayle the Lifetime Achievement Award. She has also won the Award of Excellence for Spring Rain<\/em>and the Golden Quill for Summer Shadows <\/em>and Winter Winds<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her Amhearst mystery series, Caught in the Middle, Caught in the Act, <\/em>andCaught in a Bind<\/em> , originally published by Zondervan, has been reprinted in 2007 by Love Inspired Suspense with a fourth original title added, Caught Redhanded<\/em>. Another original single title, See No Evil<\/em>, is also being released.<\/span><\/p>\n

Balancing Women\u2019s Emotions<\/span><\/em> , an updated and expanded version of her titleBalancing Your Emotions<\/em>, is also seeing release in 2007. Another nonfiction title,Riding the Waves<\/em>, has been called a \u201cthinking woman\u2019s look at contentment\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For her work in training Christian writers Gayle has won special recognition from Mount Hermon CWC, St. Davids CWC, Florida CWC, and Greater Philadelphia CWC. She directed St. Davids for five years and Sandy Cove CWC for six. She has taught with Christian Leaders, Authors and Speakers Services (CLASS), serving for several years as their writer in residence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gayle enjoys speaking at women\u2019s events across the nation and loves sharing the powerful truths of Scripture with humor and practicality. \u201cIt is always a delight to talk about the issues of life in the light of the Word of God.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She lives with her husband Chuck in southeastern Pennsylvania where they enjoy their family of two great sons, two lovely daughters-in-law, and the world\u2019s five greatest grandkids. Gayle enjoys reading, gardening, and eating out every time she can talk Chuck into it.<\/span><\/p>\n
