She continues to work as a nonprofit consultant and is president of Holy Grounding, a practice devoted to growing women in their faith and lives. She\u2019s also a certified Holy Yoga instructor, a graduate of Holy Yoga\u2019s Ignite Leadership program, and a member of the Yoga Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amy\u2019s community leadership has included roles as president and vice-president of school PTAs, the South Hampton Roads Museums Forum, the Virginia Beach Mayor\u2019s Committee for Persons with Disabilities, and Virginia Beach Toastmasters. She serves on the Communications Council of Women United of the United Way of South Hampton Roads and is a lector and women\u2019s ministry leader at her church. Amy is a graduate of She Speaks and has been a four-time speaker at the Small Museums National Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A regular guest blogger for the Moravian Board of Cooperative Ministries, she has written for Our Bible App, the best-selling \u201cA Cup of Comfort\u201d series of books, and magazines and newspapers. She has been an op-ed columnist and children\u2019s columnist for a major daily newspaper and co-authored a curriculum guide recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Amy published her first book, a Lenten devotional, in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Widowed for 28 years since her husband\u2019s death at sea, she is the mother of two adult sons, a US Army major and an Apple Genius\/ music producer.
