BARBARA HIBSCHMAN is a popular conference and retreat speaker for women\u2019s events, churches, college and seminary services, educational conferences, and seminars in the USA and abroad.<\/p>\n

Barbara\u2019s experiences as a pastor\u2019s wife, mother, grandmother, public and private school teacher, and missionary service in the Philippines and Egypt, provide her with a colorful and humorous background to communicate God\u2019s love and faithfulness. She holds a Master of Education degree from Northeastern Illinois University, and her teaching gifts continue to be used in Christian ministries, missions, and writer\u2019s conferences. In 2018, she was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Findlay, OH, where she did her undergraduate studies.<\/p>\n

Barbara is the author of 8 books, hundreds of magazine articles, and a contributing author to 14 inspirational books. In 1992, she received the \u201cWriter of the Year Award\u201d from the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers Conference.<\/p>\n

Besides teaching at a college in the Philippines, Barbara and her husband, Jim, have served in various cross-cultural ministries. For 8 years they were a pastoral-care couple for missionaries serving is Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and one \u201ccreative access\u201d country in Central Asia. In 2011, they returned to Ohio after serving as the lead-pastor couple at an international church in Cairo, Egypt. Together, they share the speaking platform at missions conferences, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement classes, and for marriage enrichment retreats. They are the proud parents of two grown children, and grandparents to 4 of the greatest kids on the planet!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
