She inspires grace for the hard stuff and hope for the journey.<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paula is the founder and former executive director of Hope\u2019s Promise, a Colorado licensed adoption agency and international orphan care ministry and the author of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Place I Didn\u2019t Belong: Hope for Adoptive Moms.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Following her retirement in 2014, Paula and her husband, Ray, embarked on their last great adventure and moved from Colorado to coastal North Carolina where Ray unexpectedly died two weeks later. Paula writes and speaks to adoptive moms, widows, those who have experienced grief and loss, and for all who desire a deeper, more intimate relationship with Jesus.<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Widowed with seven grown children, four by birth and three by adoption, Paula is also Mimi to ten delightful grands. She lives in Colorado but gets to the beach as often as she can.
