Her nonfiction, spiritual devotion book gives women practical tips and inspiration on how to connect more deeply with God.<\/p>\n<p>Stacy&#8217;s latest novel,\u00a0<em><strong>Coming Home<\/strong><\/em>, is seemingly about a clich\u00e9d love triangle. Beneath the surface, however, it is the story of two very different women who struggle to forgive each other and themselves, so they can help a man they both love die with dignity. The book was selected as a Target Stores &#8220;Recommended Read&#8221; for 2012.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stacy\u2019s sixth novel,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><em>Dreams That Won\u2019t Let Go<\/em><\/strong>, was a 2011 Library of Virginia Award finalist, with the likes of books penned by John Grisham and Jan Karon.\u00a0Her\u00a0fourth novel,\u00a0<em><strong>The Someday List<\/strong><\/em>, maintained a steady presence on the Essence bestseller\u2019s list throughout 2009, and soared to #7 on the Kindle bestseller list.\u00a0<strong><em>Who Speaks to Your Heart? Tuning In to Hear God\u2019s Whispers<\/em><\/strong>, is Stacy\u2019s first\u00a0nonfiction book.<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>It\u00a0serves as a devotional guide for busy women from all walks of life\u00a0who are\u00a0seeking to deepen their faith.<\/p>\n<p>Before becoming an author and freelance columnist, Stacy\u00a0was\u00a0a newspaper reporter for fourteen years, primarily at the\u00a0<em>Richmond Times-Dispatch<\/em>\u00a0in Virginia. She currently writes a parenting column for the\u00a0<em>Times-Dispatch<\/em>\u00a0and received the 2011 Media Award from the Virginia Association for Early Childhood Education for the informative and insightful subjects she tackles.<\/p>\n<p>Stacy teaches writing courses as an adjunct professor at the University of Richmond and beyond\u00a0the literary world, she serves as a marketing and communications professional. She devotes considerable time to promoting child advocacy as a community volunteer. Among the honors she has received for these endeavors are the YWCA of Richmond\u2019s 2011 Outstanding Woman Award and Style Weekly magazine\u2019s Top 40 Under 40 recognition.\u00a0Stacy resides with her family in suburban Richmond, Virginia and is currently writing the two books that will follow\u00a0<em>Coming Home<\/em>\u00a0in the Winds of Change series.<\/p>\n<p>Stacy speaks on a range of faith-based and secular topics that center around purpose, personal growth and soaring through change.
