Bio: Linda Gilden has been encouraging writers for over twenty years. One of the passions of her heart is to share God’s message of love and equip others to do the same. Teaching at several major writers conferences each year, Linda has the opportunity to encourage, instruct, and cheer on many aspiring and growing writers. Over a decade ago she founded Writing 4 Him, a writing group that includes members from the Upstate of South Carolina and southern North Carolina.

Linda Gilden is the author of the popular Love Notes series by New Hope Publishers: Love Notes in Lunch boxes and other ideas to color your child’s dayand Love Notes on His Pillow and other everyday ways to keep your love alive. She is currently working on the third book in the series. Linda is the award-winning author of hundreds of articles appearing in publications such as Focus on the Family, Focus on Your Child, Family Fun, The Lookout, Discipleship Journal, Campus Life’s Ignite the Fire, and others. In addition to her own books, Linda is a contributing author to over two dozen books including Humor for a Teacher’s Heart, God’s Way for Teachers, For the Write Reason, and many others. A freelance editor, Linda has compiled and edited God’s Handprints,When God Steps In, and other books.

In addition to teaching at writers conferences, Linda speaks at numerous women’s and family events each year. Her topics include “A Little Love Note Goes a Long Way,” Maintaining a Presence When You are Not Present,” “Display His Splendor,” and her signature topic, “Inspiring Everyday Encouragement.” She understands the importance of encouraging those around you and shares creative ideas for communicating in fun ways with friends and family.

An alumna of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a certificate degree in women’s ministry, Linda is a CLASS and Upper CLASS graduate, Christian Writers Fellowship International, American Society of Journalists and Authors, and Advanced Writers and Speakers Association. When she is not writing, speaking, or editing, Linda enjoys floating in the lake with a good book, playing percussion in a ladies praise band, and spending time with her family where she finds lots of inspiration for her writing and speaking.
