Bio: Dena is an engaging, motivating and inspiring leader who points audiences toward healing by sharing bridge-building humor, compelling stories, and scriptural truth. She loves speaking to women’s groups—it’s about the only “girl time” she gets! Dena has been professionally trained by CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors and Speakers Services) and has spoken to audiences of all sizes for over fifteen years.

“Dena is an exceptional writer, speaker and singer. She’s chosen to find the powerful hand of God in every challenge,” notes one audience member who’s heard her several times. Another listener says, “Dena does a fabulous job. Her content is exquisite and her delivery wonderful.”

In addition to her favorite job as mom to Jordan and Jackson, Dena writes and teaches English and creative writing classes to K-12 homeschool students. When time allows, she participates in the music and women’s ministries at Lakeside Baptist Church, where her husband serves as the Minister of Worship and Music.

Dena’s publishing credits (and favorite speaking topics) include the books Wounded Women of the Bible: Finding Help When Life Hurts, Let the Crows’ Feet and Laugh Lines Come, Mothers of the Bible, and Grace for the Race: Meditations for Busy Moms. Her articles have appeared in Writer’s Digest, Woman’s World, Home Life and many other magazines, and her tips have been published in Working Mother, Thriving Family, Redbook, Family Circle, Parenting, Nick Jr. and Scholastic Parent. She currently serves as contributing editor with The High Calling (www.highcalling.org).
